April School Vacation Screenings

Yay! We can finally assemble! One of the core tenets of PCFF is that “films are better when they are shared together”. In this spirit we have eagerly scheduled six days of free, in-person, encore screenings from this year’s festival. They will be at four separate locations throughout the school vacation week.

PROVIDENCE CHILDREN’S MUSEUM – Saturday, April 16th – 2:00-4:00pm

Join us for a screening of short films from our thematically titled BE STRONG, BE KIND reel. Drop in anytime between 2:00-4:00pm to see one, two… heck, watch’em all! LIVE MUSIC ta boot! Admission fee to the museum is required as are face masks to help protect our youngest, unvaccinated crowd. Thanks for your understanding! No sign up required.

BE STRONG, BE KIND – (Multi-national / Recommended for All Ages) Empathy allows us to understand and share the feelings of others. Some people have it while others… well let’s say they might need to practice. The stories on this reel hopefully inspire you to see/feel things from another person’s perspective. They include a boy trying to save a starling from being threatened by thrown rocks (NESTLING); a young girl giving up her candy money so that an elderly man can purchase some milk (MILK); and an art teacher that communicates is with whistle?! (THE FUNDAMENTALS OF ART). After watching these films from all around the world you will see that being kind IS being strong!

We have a special guest joining us too! Singer/songwriter Carrie Ferguson will be singing songs from her films the GRUMPY TIME CLUB and TAVI’S SONG which are on this reel, plus more!
