Now accepting film submissions to the 2019 Youth Filmmaker Showcase!

2019 YOUTH FILMMAKER SHOWCASE GUIDELINES (Please read carefully):

• FILMS MUST BE YOUTH-PRODUCED Filmmakers must be between the ages of 6 and 17. A “youth-produced film” means the entire film was conceived and created by the submitting filmmakers with minimal adult input. An adult supervisor is allowed.
• SCHOOL/COMMUNITY GROUPS ARE ELIGIBLE Films made by youth within school or community organization settings are eligible. Please specify the name of the submitting school or organization on the application form.
• PROOF OF STUDENT STATUS AND AGE IS REQUIRED Youth applicants must provide a photocopy of valid, current student identification card OR provide a letter from the school’s administrator confirming current student status and age. Please include with signed agreement.
• FILM LENGTH, GENRE, LANGUAGE, FORMAT Maximum film length is 15 minutes. PCFF accepts films of all genres. Films in a language other than English must be subtitled. Films will be screened using a digital file. Any film not supplied in HD may be kept in the film’s original resolution. Our preferred format is Quicktime: h.264 codec, 1920×1080 frame size at 30fps.
• THE YOUTH FILMMAKER SHOWCASE IS NOT COMPETITIVE Films submitted to the Youth Filmmakers Showcase are not eligible for Festival awards. The YFS presentation is designed to be a non-competitive category of the Festival.
• FILMMAKER PERKS Accepted youth filmmakers will receive a 2019 ALL-ACCESS Filmmaker Pass that allows the filmmaker and one guest entrance to ALL films* screened at the 2019 film festival. (*Space permitting. Opening and Closing Night events excluded.)
• ACCEPTANCE NOTIFICATION All applicants will be notified of their acceptance status by email no later than January 10, 2019.
• DEADLINES AND FEES (No one will be turned away for lack of funds.)
  • Early Bird: September 15, 2018  / $20
  • Regular: October 25, 2018 / $25
  • Late: November 22, 2018 / $30

  • Provide Proof of Student Status and Age
  • Provide Film Link/Password
  • Submit PAYMENT (Full payment fee must be submitted with film entry)
