New England Premiere
A pair of golden eagles are hatched high in a nest overlooking a breathtakingly scenic valley in the Austrian Alps. One falls out prematurely and is in peril. Meanwhile, 13-year-old Lukas, who recently lost his mother, is unable to cope with the bitterness that has developed between him and his father and spends most of his time in the solace of nature. Thankfully, the eagle and Lukas cross paths just in time and by the end it’s not clear just who has who under their protective wing. Narrated by and starring Jean Reno (THE DA VINCI CODE, THE PROFESSIONAL), we witness the cinematic beauty and cold indifference of nature. Special note: cameras were placed on the bodies of some eagles to capture their perspective!
