Volunteer for the Festival!

Are you a film enthusiast and love to volunteer? We’d be thrilled to have your help! Volunteering is fun, and there are opportunities for all skill levels and ages. Families can volunteer together, too!

Here’s a quick look at what volunteering entails, and a link at the bottom to sign up:

Pre-Festival:

  • School Ambassador:  Help us spread the word about the Festival through your child’s school communications. Because the screenings are free/pay what you can, many schools will agree to include it in their digital newsletter. We’ll send you the info and images – you forward on to the school administration or PTO with your endorsement and encouragement! EMAIL ME: cristin@pcffri.org
  • Poster Hanging: Take a stroll and promote PCFF by putting our posters up in local shop windows.  EMAIL ME: cristin@pcffri.org

During the Festival: February 13-22

  • Reserved Ticket Greeters: Great for extroverted adults and tweens/teens who can read a spreadsheet and welcome folks with a smile. 🙂
  • Ballot Managers:  This important but easy task is perfect for the younger volunteer, or an teen/child combo. Hand out ballots as folks enter the screening, and then collect ballots as they exit.
  • Merch Sales: Great for gregarious adults or teens who are comfortable in a retail setting, helping folks find the right  T-shirt size, and completing sales on Square (we’ll train!)
  • Animation Station Assistant:  Perfect for an adult or adult + teen/tween who likes to help kids and families make stuff and is comfortable with basic tech. If you’re a crafty babysitter, for example, this might be great for you. (We’ll train!)
  • Set Up & Break Down: Do you like to do schlep stuff and transform spaces? Then this is for you! Mostly morning hours, before the crowds.

*Most tasks are needed between film screenings, meaning you can work, then watch the film, then work again.
